posted Jan 16, 2013, 5:41 AM by Eric Fetterman   [ updated Feb 28, 2013, 2:10 PM ]
We will be attending this awesome annual event for the 3rd time. We wouldn't miss it for anything. Any and all boaters willing to donate some time and a day of fishing are to contact me at eric@verticallures.com. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A KTBA MEMBER TO DO THIS EVENT! We had 10 boats last year, lets break that number in 2013!

On April 27th the NY BASS Chapter Federation will host Take a Soldier Fishing on Oneida Lake with our base of operations out of Oneida Shores Park. The day starts with the arrival of the Soldiers & volunteer at 6 AM, everyone signs in and enjoys free coffee & donuts. At 8 AM we conduct a morning tackle raffle, pair Soldiers with boaters, launch and we fish for anything that's legal following the applicable NY DEC fishing regulations. At 1:30 PM Boaters return to the ramp for the official weigh-in, follwed by a BBQ lunch and more prizes.
This is an amazing event, and the troops are very grateful. It will be something you will remember for a long time.

We need volunteers boaters and support staff to bring this program to life.  (must sign up not later than March 22nd)

Boater provides two (2) Soldiers rod, reel and equipment and life vests for the day.

If you wish to donate, Donations are Due No Later Than March 30, 2013.

Let me know!

Boaters List- Eric Fetterman, Tim McFadden, Jim Husnay, Tom Testa, Johnathan Bechy, Tim O'Connor, Keith McFall, Louis DeSantis, Jeff David- more to come!
